Passed away peacefully on Friday 1st December 2023 at Graceland’s Rest Home, Hastings aged 92 years old - he was surrounded by the love of his whanau. Beloved husband of Hiwa (dec). Loving Dad to Eileen and Mark, and Boy. Cherished Pa to Holley and all the mokopuna and moko moko. Treasured brother, uncle and good friend to many. Dad will lie at Taihoa Marae from Saturday 2.12.2023 where his tangi will be held on Tuesday 5.12.2023 at 11 am. He will then be taken to his final resting place with his darling Hiwa at the Wairoa Lawn Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we advise of Bronson’s sudden death in the early hours of Sunday on the morning of 26 November, on his 38th birthday. Dearly loved son of Girl (dec), cherished brother of Paul. Treasured cousin, uncle, nephew and brother of the fist. His body will lie at Te Huki Marae until the final service on Friday 01.12.23 at 11am. We will lay him to rest at Te Huki urupa. Whānau invite everyone back to Te Huki marae for hakari. Haere atu rā ki tua o Paerau, ko ngā whakaaro nui ki tō whānau. E whanga ana tō māmā ki tō rahi!
Passed away unexpectedly on Monday 20th of November 2023.
Dearly loved partner of Imshei (Kimmy) and pāpā of Maia and Aurora. Treasured son of Eugene, Natalie and Ian, tuakana to Ashleigh and Krystal. Cherished cuzzie, mate, nephew, uncle, brother in law and brother in arms to his navy and army whanau. For those wanting to pay their respects we will be holding two services. The first on Friday morning at the Linton Cultural Centre commencing from 8.45am. From there we will travel home to Whakakī where he will lay at the pā (1731 State Highway 2, Whakakī) until the final service on Sunday morning scheduled for 11am. Loved son of Gordon(dec) and Blanche(dec) (nee Garnham) Nissen. Beloved husband of Here Turi Koka. Treasured Dad and father in law of Michael and Michelle, Haylie and Paul, Karaitiana and Tusie, Tatiana IV and John, and Shane and Chrysler. Adored Koro of Tahliya, Ihaka, Trayjuoin, Kahuroa, Elijah, Tiana, Stormee, Sophie-Jay, Poutu, Te Ha-O-Here-Turi-Koka, Tatiana V, Tirokia, and Ngaire-Rain. Mike will lie in state at his home, 26 Karaka Street Wairoa, from Thursday 23.11.2023 where his funeral service will be held on Saturday 25.11.2023 at 1pm, followed by his burial in the Wairoa Lawn Cemetery. Passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital, Wednesday 8th November 2023 in her 85th year.
Beloved wife of Garth and mother of Greg and Ali, Simon and Jaime and loved nanny to Lucas, Rome and Tamaya. Loved daughter of Koroheke (deceased) and Rokatūkotahi (deceased) and loved sibling to her many brothers and sisters. Beloved Aunty to all her nieces and nephews and dear friend and whanaunga to many more. Buzzie will travel to Wairoa on Friday 10th November to lie at Taihoa Marae, Mahia Avenue. Passed peacefully Sunday 5th November 2023 at Hastings Hospital, aged 76. Beloved husband of Helen(dec), beloved father of Janine, Lisa, Brent, and stepsons Joel and Grant. Grandfather of many. Dearly loved brother of Michelle, Megan, Grant (dec), Craig, Glenn (dec). Bravely and positively fought the total paralysis caused by an injury during a medical procedure 12 months ago at Hastings Hospital. Gordon had his wish to live back in Wairoa in his home with his dog even though was just a short time. Special thanks to the amazing and caring care workers and to his wonderful friends, especially Dot and Lance Watkins. They enabled Gordon to have 24 hour care in his own home. A service will be held at Pickering's Chapel Saturday 18th November at 1pm. Followed by interment at Wairoa Cemetery. Gordon will be buried beside his beloved wife Helen. |
