Passed away peacefully at Wairoa Hospital on Tuesday 28 January 2020, aged 96. Beloved wife of Ted (dec). Very much loved mum of Laurie, Birdie, Wendy, Terry and Gay, Steve and Sheryl, and Reta and Grant. Adored super gran to all her grandkids and great grandkids. Thank you for your unwavering dedication and love you provided to our family. We love you more than words could ever express. A funeral service for Rita will be held at Pickering Funeral Chapel, 62 Marine Parade, Wairoa on Friday 31 January 2020 at 11.00am followed by interment in Wairoa Cemetery. A Heartfelt thank you from the King family to the wonderful staff at Glengarry, and the kindness and care provided by all of the staff at the Wairoa Hospital.

In his 81st year.  Passed away on 23 January 2020 at his home at Iwitea surrounded by his dearly loved family.

Dearly loved husband of the late Ngapera (Bella) McRoberts (nee Waikaaho).

Cherished father and father-in-law of Andrew and Syliva, Susan and the late Christopher Paul and partner of Cecil Kells, William Jnr and Henrietta, Micheal and Tatiana, Samuel and Pania, Karen, Katrina and Patrick, Harry and Vicky, Ryan and Melissa Waikawa, Carole and the late Maurice Reti, Ford and Kirston, Ngahuia and James.  Beloved grandfather to 39 moko’s.  Beloved great grandfather to 48 mokomoko.

Our father will be lying at Iwitea Marae for two hours from about 10.30 am today Friday then after that he will lie at Putahi Marae.

Tangi day is Sunday 26 January 2020 with a short service at 9.00am at Putahi Marae then uplift our father and take him to Ruataniwha Marae, there will be a full service at 11.00 am.

We will then lay our father to rest with our mother at Ruataniwha Marae urupa.  Hakari to follow at Putahi Marae.

And he answering said, “Thou shalt love the lord thy God with all thy HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.”

Yolande will lay at her home at 22 Te Uhi Pa Road, Wairoa until 9am on Sunday 26th January 2020 where she will then lay at Te Rauhina Marae. Her funeral service will be held at Te Rauhina Marae on Monday 27th January 2020 at 11am.

In her 82nd year. Passed away peacefully on Thursday the 16th January 2020 at Glengarry Rest Home, Wairoa.  Dearly loved wife of Dickie Pungatara (deceased).  Loving mother to April Cracknell.  Cherished daughter of Diana Ehu (nee Walker) (deceased) and John Hawkins (deceased).  Loved twin sister to Milly. Loved sister to Harry (deceased), Mary, Buddy (deceased), Hinetengarue (deceased), Hinemaringi, (deceased) Noko (deceased), Roha (deceased), Baba, Anzac (deceased) and baby sister Sue (deceased).  Dearly loved Aunty to all her many nieces and nephews. Bobby will lie at Ruataniwha Marae, Wairoa where a funeral service will be held on Sunday 19 January 2020 at 11:00 am followed by interment at the Wairoa Lawn Cemetery.

After a long and courageous battle, Laurie passed peacefully on 13th January, with family at his side. Aged 87 years. Loving and adoring husband of Marie for 64 years. Oldest child of George and Adelaide Hellyer (dec) of Clive.

Much loved father and father in law of David and Karen, Stephen (dec), Debbie and Tony, Judy and Felix, Linda and John, Bryan and Ngaire, Tracey and Eric and Ann-Maree and Mark.

Doting great grandfather of soon-to-be 11. A cherished brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and mate, who has departed to make the best vege garden heaven has ever seen.
