Passed away peacefully in Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Hastings on Sunday 30 October 2022, surrounded by his loving whanau.
Dearly loved Husband of Moana. Adored and treasured by all his children, in laws and mokopuna. Charles will lie at home 1833 Ruakituri Road, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday 2 November 2022 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.

So sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing, I remember him as the most gentle lovely. And though It has been many years since I have seen any of the Smith clan you all my second family growing up and Charlie & Moana always made me feel like I belonged. Those days will never be forgotten

Sorry I cant be there to wish you well on your journey but you are forever in my heart. You were a Legend (in the kitchen and out) You were a kind, gentle, humble man and you definitely left your mark in this world. Rest in Love Charlie x
