Passed away peacefully at Wairoa Hospital on Tuesday 28 January 2020, aged 96. Beloved wife of Ted (dec). Very much loved mum of Laurie, Birdie, Wendy, Terry and Gay, Steve and Sheryl, and Reta and Grant. Adored super gran to all her grandkids and great grandkids. Thank you for your unwavering dedication and love you provided to our family. We love you more than words could ever express. A funeral service for Rita will be held at Pickering Funeral Chapel, 62 Marine Parade, Wairoa on Friday 31 January 2020 at 11.00am followed by interment in Wairoa Cemetery. A Heartfelt thank you from the King family to the wonderful staff at Glengarry, and the kindness and care provided by all of the staff at the Wairoa Hospital.
Go now and be at peace with your beloved Ted.

So sad to here .lovely lady my boys used to go to her place when i lived in rutherford st.treated them like they where her grandchildren

Sad to hear of Rita's passing many happy memories of a lovely caring lady, Rita was the best baker I always felt like part of the family kind thoughts to Wendy and extended family xxx
