Born 16th January 1942.
Passed away peacefully 12th April 2020 of natural causes (unrelated to COVID-19) at Wairoa Hospital.
Dearly loved wife of the late Sydney. Much loved mother of Ellen and Cheryl. Cherished Nan of Traci, Sam, Chanel, Mychal, Mitchell, Watene, Zane and Tyrone along with her many great grandchildren. Treasured sister of her late and remaining siblings and a respected kaumatua in the Mahia community. She will be dearly missed by all.
Due to the restriction regarding tangihanga a service and celebration of Te Paia’s life will be held at a later date to be notified.

We have truly lost a well respected a
nd treasured member of Mahia. From my dad (Dudley) and I, our very deepest sympathy at Sophie's passing. She will be forever in our memories. Our thoughts are with the whanau at this difficult time and under diffucult circumstances. Moe mai ra Sophie. Kia kaha whanau. Mavis Nielsen-McKay.
