.On Sunday 31st December 2023 peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 78 years. Dearly loved partner of Linda Ngata, and adored father of Crystal Cardine Maree Dewes. Treasured son of the late Henry Hokiora and Lorraine Rauhina (nee Henry) Dewes. Cherished nephew of Violet, and the late Ena, Moe, Wira, Joe, Bill, Walter and Beverley. A devoted and special Koro and Uncle to many mokopuna, tamariki, nieces and nephews. A man with a big heart for his community, his whanau, “All Nations, All People”, whose presence will be sorely missed. Norms life will be celebrated in a service to be held at Pickering Funeral Services, 62 Marine Parade, Wairoa on Friday 5th January 2024, at 1:00pm Norm will be laid to rest beside his mother at the Wairoa Cemetery.
