It is with great sadness we advise the passing of our beautiful mum, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving whanau.

Loving Soulmate of Henry Thompson (Cliff) (Dec), treasured Mother of Sonny, Shane (Dec), Manuel (Dec), Hata, Nathan, Hemi and Stevie-Lee. Cherished Sister, Aunty, Nan, Great-Nan and Friend.

Joy will lie at 252 Ruataniwha Road, Wairoa, from Monday 18 March 2024 where her tangi will be held on Wednesday, 20 March 2024 at 10:00am.

From there her whanau will take her to Gisborne for private cremation.

“This will be my final five minute break.”

I will miss you my beautiful friend. 💜 I was blessed to have known you and will remember you always, your wittiness, sense of humour and for being the most straight up person I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Giddy mate, the words you'd greet when you'd make your presence known, although I only knew you for a short time, you stamped your wit and straight up sas amongst us all, your chats of Invercargill, your Moko were always a hot topic, rest in peace Joy, you truely were a gem that will be sadly missed ❤️❤️❤️
