My sincerest condolences to Tom's family. Tom and my dad, Eric Wills were great mates and we all grew up with his children. He had the most wicked sense of humour and I've always had the utmost Love and Respect for Tom. Always with a smile and a bit of cheek. Have a beer and a laugh with Dad for me and don't get up to too much mischief you two. My Love is with you all. ♥️

Sincerest condolences to the Winiata whanau on the sad passing of such a wonderful man. I have many cherished memories of Tom from my early teens when I was apprenticed to him and Charlie Matches. Tom and I rode track work together almost every morning, he taught me a great deal about horsemanship, I knew him as kind man with good heart and a passion for what he did. He was truely inspiring, still riding track work into his 70’s, he will be sadly missed by many. RIP Tom ❤️

I have often thought of the years I worked at the Wairoa Freezing Works and all the amazing people that I came into contact with and your cheeky humour was a stand out for me. I met you again at The Club not so long ago and you were exactly the same. Rest in Peace Tom, thanks for the memories. My condolences to your whanau xx
