Passed away peacefully at her homestead in Kahungunu. Loved wife of Aaron (Spike). Cherished mother of Tihema & Hira, Travan & Rangi, Arana & Tangi, and Rangi & Zia.
Nanny to many, mother to plenty & beautiful daughter of Joe Te Kahika.
Lydia Joanne will be taken to Mohaka Marae 2pm Thursday the 6th of March, where she will lay till her Nehu on 8th March 2025, 11am.
We will then travel to Kahungunu Marae, our Ukaipo one last time then head to the Rohepotae Road to our Whanau Urupa.

Following her burial please join us for kai and inu at the Rongomaiwahine Porotiti Mohaka.

Im so sorry to read of Lydias passing. I remember lydias kind face and beautiful smile. Sincere condolences to Spike and whanau and extended whanaunui. Very sad news. Rest in light Lydia xo

Aaaaaaw Lydia... You were such a beautiful person. For such a small package, you came lwith the kindest heart, biggest smile and most gentle soul. I'm so thankful I got to meet and know you. It was always awesome to see your beautiful smile. I wanted to come and see you and I'm so sorry I didn't.. Much love for you and to your whanau. I’m heartbroken that I didn’t know about your mamae. So many awesome memories of you during our school years and your amazing smile that would light up the room! We were bloody mischief but you and our friends gave me so many happy memories and I thank you for that ❤️
