It is with much sadness we advise the peaceful passing of John at his home on Wednesday 4th February 2026. Loved husband and best friend to Jane. Awesome Dad to Bernard, Philip(dec), Matt and Andrew. Treasured Step-Dad to Jess and Dave of Ireland. Proud Poppa to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cherished Son, Brother and friend to many. John will lie at his home, 88 Kopu Road from Friday 6th February. His funeral service will be held at St Peters Catholic Church on Saturday 7th February at 11am followed by his interment in Wairoa Lawn Cemetery by his son, Philip. My deepest sympathies to you Jane & all the O’Sullivan family in NZ on the passing of John from your Irish cousins. We always enjoyed your visits to Ireland. Now My Dad (Jimmy), Uncle Owen & John are probably having a good natter together again as we speak.

So sorry to Hear of Uncle Johns Passing. May he rest Easy now. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Nana will have a table set for him with a cuppa tea waiting with poppa sitting at the table to. They be yarning bout the good ol days on the farm and in town.
