On behalf of the Nissen whānau, it is with the heaviest of hearts to announce the passing of our beautiful nanny, Here-Turi-Koka Nissen (nee Mei), Saturday afternoon 19/04/2025.

She fought diligently, greatly outliving her prognosis. She was truly an inspiration to us all.

Nanny will leave her whare at 26 Karaka Street Wairoa, Monday 21st of April at 10:00am, whereafter she will lay at Te Waimako Marae until the nehu on Wednesday the 23rd of April, service beginning 11:00am.

Please be respectful and patient of the whānau at this time as we process this mamae, this is the greatest of losses.

Condolences to family. I knew Here while growing up in Wairoa. Met up with Here again in the last month. We had a good chat about the old days especially our time spent at school. Very sorry for your loss.

Tena koe e te whanau. I am so saddened to hear tonight of Here's passing. I have always regarded her as a woman who walked in mana. She was always dignified, and she treated me with kindness. I shall miss her. Nga mihi arohanui ki a koutou..
(may I please have the exact name of the bank account number given in the notice as my bank requires the exact namet to enable me to lay down a Koha. Kia oea).
