McNABB, Thomas Mackay “Tom”

Born in Wairoa on 17 August 1928. Loved husband for 73 years of Betty. Cherished father and father-in-law of Kaylene & Jim (dec), Allan & Anne, Miriam & Maurice. Grandfather of seven, great-grandfather of 18. Special “Grandad McNabb”. Passed away peacefully in the presence of his family, at the grand age of 97, on 9 September 2025.

97 years Young - what a great innings - I was transfered to manage Hallensteins
In Wairoa in 1968. Miriam worked for us at some point and I remember at some stage they did a family trip to Fiji and she bought me back a transistor Radio which I had for many many years.Tom of course collected our inwards stock from the then Rail head and delivered back in-store to us and this service also went on to when I went onto work for Gary Vincent ( Vincent Home Appliances )I have many happy memories of Wairoa - Betty may not remember me but I remember you .I still keep a eye on what's going in this great little town - Hi to Trevor Wong should you read this
