Passed away peacefully at Wairoa Hospital on Friday 4 August 2017, surrounded by his loving Whanau. Much loved father and step father of Andylee and Hickson, Jade, Rosie, Whetu, Wayne, and Josie. Best friend of Girl. Loved papa to Iraia, Te Hanene and Ngahaku. Much loved son of Nyra (dec) and Andy(dec). Loved brother of Louie (dec) and Elaine, Lucy (dec) and Pompy, Jimmy and Sue, Nina and John, Leigh and Mark, Andy and Debbie. Loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Bro to Marty. John will lie at Huramua Marae where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday 8 August at 11.00am followed by interment in Matiti Urupa.

Had the pleasure of meeting John boy in chemo cheerful cheeky during this horrible journey unbeknown until later in talking to him and Leigh Nina my hubby's sister in law is there sister.
