Passed away in his element — the place he spent every day: the bush. Son of Noel Stewart (Dec) and Ina Hawkins (Dec) who will be waiting at the golden gates with open arms for their son. Loved and adored Dad of Tamara-rose and Zinny, His best mate Bj, and Cassey. Cherished partner of Missy. Brother, uncle, cousin, “Killa,” and pal to many. “Eagle” in the bush. Dad will lay at 74 Campbell Street from Saturday 29th November. All whanau and friends are welcome to come and pay their respects. Monday 1st December will be Dad’s final day where we will take him to Wairoa War Memorial Hall at 11am for his funeral service. He will then be taken to Waihua Urupa to be laid to rest. “And that is the life of a fallerman, the life of a bushman”

27 March 1946 – 24 November 2025 It is with sadness that we share the passing of our dear mother. We hold close the love, care and guidance she poured into our lives. Her steady presence and nurturing ways shaped our lives in so many ways that will remain with us always. Mum leaves memories filled with warmth and gratitude. She is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by her children… Mary and Mark, Paul (dec), Wendy, Samantha (dec), Jacinta, Samuel and Jennifer, her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. Margery will lie at home, 5 Mansfield Street, until her funeral service at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, 29 November 2025 at 2pm. Rest in peace, forever in our hearts. The sun rose again today, though a little less bright without you here. We know you will be sitting at that big hootchie in the sky, beer in hand, watching over us. This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later. Dearly loved husband and soulmate to Dot. Devoted dad and father in law to Adam, Lisa and Peter Skilton, and Tina. Great poppa to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loyal and respected friend to many. As per Des’s wishes a private cremation has been held. Passed away peacefully at Wairoa Hospital, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Ngaire (dec), much-loved father of Ross (dec) and Sharynne. Loving Granddad to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private cremation has been held. 26 April 1933 - 16 October 2025
On Thursday 16th October 2025, Judith passed away peacefully at Mary Doyle Rest Home Havelock North aged 92. A much loved daughter of Jack and Jean Bacon (dec), Sister of Ian, Murray, Warwick, Lesley, Janette and Ross (dec) Dearly loved wife and best friend of Dinty (dec) Cherished Mother and Mother in Law of Leonie, Louise and Norman, Scott and Leeanne and David. Much loved and treasured Nana Judy to all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. A private cremation has been held. |
