Passed away peacefully on 18 July 2025 in Taupo, aged 96. Respected and much loved by his close family and extended family. John had strong Wairoa links and involvements. He will be missed by those close to him. A celebration of life will be held on the 14 August 2025 at 1pm, at the Founders Remembrance Chapel, 117 Ricket Street, Taupo .

Went Out 18th July 2025 Freakin Legend to her Dad, and Mum’s Baby. Loved and missed Sister to Trident. Going to be badly missed by Shanty, Eli, Gage, Kitana – Rose. Daughter to all her aunties and uncles. Awesome Gossiper to all her Cousins Moko of Charlie and Senga Kaimoana (dec) and Jack and Myra Albert (dec) Will arrive at Kopu Rd 19th July 2025 late afternoon. We are currently at home with mum, where we will spend one more precious night with her. On Saturday at 12pm, we will take her to Te Huki Marae, where she will rest for her final night surrounded by whānau and aroha. A church service will be held at 6pm, followed by the Poroporoaki. Mum’s Nehu will take place on Sunday at 11am at Te Huki Marae. After the service, we will make our way to Arakinihi Urupā, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved parents and siblings. Mo passed peacefully at her home in Wairoa surrounded by her loving whanau 6:15am 17 July. She will return to her home, 11 Kowhai Place, Wairoa on Friday 18th July at 10.30am. There will be a service at 7pm, followed by the Poroporoaki. She will then leave her home on Saturday 19th July at 10.30am and make her way to the War Memorial Hall, 103 Queen Street, Wairoa, for an 11am service.
