Born 21 March 1952 – Passed away 25 April 2025 With heavy hearts, we share the peaceful passing of our dearly loved Meihana — beloved daughter of Te Hira and Maraea (both deceased), cherished wife of Bruce, and deeply treasured mother of Rodney and Roberta, Craig (deceased), Bridget and Chad, Quintin and Melanie, James and Lynette, Leigh and Nikita. Adored nanny to her many mokopuna and moko tuarua, and a much-loved sister to Te Hira Jnr, Karen (deceased), Thomas (deceased), and Mate (deceased). She fought diligently, greatly outliving her prognosis. She was truly an inspiration to us all. Last surviving child of the late Tiwha Pukeke (from Whanganui) and the late Rewai Makere Pukeke (nee Mahanga from Iwitea, Ruataniwha and Mohaka). Cherished sister to her late siblings. Loved niece, cousin, aunty, nanny and friend. Wife of the late George Te Otinga Nicholson. Devoted mother of the late Tiwha, the late Howard, Pine-Waitai and Anthony.
