Margaret passed peacefully at Ellerslie Garden Rest Home, Auckland on Saturday 23rd September 2023. Loved wife of the Late Norman. Loving mother and mother-in-law to Jock and Robyn, Shona and John, Karen and Ian, and Joanna(dec). Cherished grandmother and great grandmother. A memorial service will be held at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Wairoa on Tuesday 24th October 2023 at 1.30pm. Any messages can be sent C/- J & R McKinnon Cricklewood Road RD 1 Wairoa.

On behalf of our whanau, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful sister Char, aged 46 years. Char passed peacefully at Kalamunda Palliative Care Hospital in Perth Western Australia, in her mother’s arms after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of Parehuia (Bub) Savage nee Carroll-Paku and the late Derek (Charlie) Savage. Loved sister of Moana and Darcy (dec.), Deon and Justine, Lee and Leigh. Adored Aunty to Tia, Tiana, Brylee, Rico, Kyan and Rome. Loving partner of Mark. Deeply loved by all her extended Paku and Savage whanau and a very special friend to many. Char will make her journey home from Western Australia, Friday 13th October and arrive at Huramua Marae, the evening of Saturday 14th October. A service to celebrate Char’s life will be held on Monday 16th October, 11am at Huramua Marae located at 18 Huramua East Rd, Wairoa. Hakari to follow service. Char’s final wishes for cremation will be fulfilled privately. Cards and messages can be sent to 1 Robert Shortt Street, Wairoa, Hawkes Bay, 4108. Char brought immense joy and love to our whanau, her extended whanau, and her friends near and far. Her presence will be greatly missed. Sunset: 6 October 2023 Passed away after a long battle with illness. Dearly loved wife of Phillip. Loved mother to Deeanne and Jake, Quentin and Carey, and Josh and Lauren. Cherished Nanny to Te Aniwa, Te Ariki, Zaedyn, Indie, Ruapani, Kaia, Quinn, and Leah. Loved daughter of Taane(dec) and Moana Ngarimu. Loved sister, aunty and friend to many. Tania will be laying in state at 168 McLean St from Sunday 8 October 2023. A celebration of Tania’s life will be held at Pickering’s Funeral Chapel on Monday 9 October 2023 at 11am, followed by interment in the Wairoa Lawn Cemetery.
